Is this Peter Maxx poster worth anything?
I was wondering if anyone would know if this peter maxx poster would be worth anything? Its called 1980 US-Canada exhibition. It’s not a engr or litho. I didn’t find it on ebay.
If it’s undamaged and in relatively good shape it might be worth something…it depends if it was an original print or if it was a mass produced print where it’s one of thousands printed. I saw an original Peter Max print in the office building where Morgan Stanley is located alongside the local IRS office. I saw two original Peter Max paintings located in the hallway here, he lives near here in Virginia and he’s into an ashram style of practices of meditation. He still paints and some people who go to that very same ashram have some of his recent work. I would hold onto it even if it’s doubtful as to it’s originality…because the main value of art afterall is a relationship between you and it…it’s not the cash value that makes art worth how many dollars it brings in, it’s how much value comes from it..esoterically speaking of course….but and original litho could bring in a good four figure number in the right hands…..see a dealer if your serious.
